Summary
One moment you had everything - a house, a family, a loving community. The other you lost it all, stripped bare of everything you ever loved by a brutal raid. You managed to escape with your life, barely making it to Seattle, when the city finally took from you the last thing that kept you grounded.
That's when you met her. Stone unreadable face, sharp blue eyes that could pierce through you, but a kind heart that almost looked out of place considering her whole facade. Abby took you in, kept you close. Maybe out of guilt, maybe out of pity. Maybe something else entirely. And slowly, inadvertently, something began to grow between two people who no longer believed in softness.
In a world built on loss, love might be the hardest thing to survive.
