    Summary

"Father?.." Lyney called, becoming more nervous by the second. "You called me in here for a reason. I'd like to hear it."

    "I'm sick, Lyney."

"Sick?" Lyney's eyes narrowed in confusion. The way she'd been acting… It had appeared to be something more serious than this. "You're just sick? Even if it's something as bad as the flu, it's nothing to cry over. You'll be okay." He put his right hand on her shoulder, his painted nails shimmering in the light. She set her tissue aside, taking a deep breath.

"No, Lyney. I… I'm going to die."

Lyney has never wanted to become a Fatui Harbinger. The mere thought of it keeps him awake at night. As the Fourth Harbinger's successor, he knows his fate is inevitable, but not for many years to come. The Knave is young and healthy, so she should live for several decades more…

…But what happens when the Knave is diagnosed with a terminal illness?

    - NOT discontinued or abandoned!! Irl life takes priority at the moment and updates are going to be slow for a while

    Summary

No king rules forever, of course, and I know that one day I will be chosen as "Father's" successor…

It has been years since Fontaine and its people were submerged in the sea. After the death of Arlecchino, Lyney has taken her place as the new Knave, and the new "Father" of the House of the Hearth. As Teyvat’s endgame approaches, Lyney must battle extremist rebels, fellow Harbingers, and even the gods themselves, but his greatest foe is still the sea of trauma and abuse in which he still drowns to this day.

    Summary

    Something is wrong.

Sunday can tell as much from the moment he wakes up, eyes fluttering open to the soft light the Express uses to mimic morning. It's a sight he’s grown accustomed to, yet today it leaves him with a knot in his throat, with clammy palms sticking to his bedsheets. It is when he draws his first breath of the day, only to find it uneven, that an inkling of something sinks into his bones.

He’s sick, he realizes, and with it comes the fluttering of his heart in his chest, abnormal and abrupt. A rhythm disrupted.

Or: Sunday gets sick, but decides to hide it, not wanting to ruin the crew's plans to go to a karaoke joint. This, of course, blows up in his face.

    Summary

The cruelest thing about the Nameless was that they made it so easy to pretend that Sunday belonged. They fed that greedy, stupid, childish thing that cried out from within him, tossing enough scraps of amity for him to piece them together into something that felt like home. The curtains only closed when Sunday lay awake at night and stared at the ceiling of the bedroom that wasn’t really his, and he remembered that it started like this and could only end like this: with him, alone in the dark.

Sunday is found by the Astral Express Crew after fleeing Penacony. He accepts their offer to join, and realizes that

    a. fitting into this tight-knit group is likely impossible
    b. trouble finds the Trailblazers no matter where they go.

or, the chronicle of the Astral Express trying, failing, and trying again to fit Sunday into their family.
