Tras quedar deshonrado Arion no tuvo mayor opción que aceptar la unión con Ser Duncan, Stark próximo y único heredero de Invernalia. Era eso o que lo recluyeran de por vida a servir a dioses en los que no creía, en silencio de por vida. Aerion contaba con que el clima fuera frio y su relación con su futuro esposo, completamente transaccional y carente de sentimiento alguno. Pero no contaba que al poner un pie el norte el viento comenzaría a acecharlo como si lo quisieran lejos de allí. Mucho menos con el aroma adictivo de la esencia de su futuro esposo que parecía hecha especialmente para él.

Aerion smelled it as soon as he came to. The scent of the horrid beast who bit him.
The alpha sat near his bed, a ruin of swollen flesh and deep purple bruising.
There were countless things he wanted to say to the brute, each one more cutting than the last, but all that came out was a ragged. “Why?”
The alpha stared at him. “Because you cannot be trusted,” he said simply, his lips thin. “Everywhere you go, you leave wreckage in your wake.”
Aerion laughed, the motion splitting the scabs open on his mouth. “And what? You think you will bend me to your will?”
His tone was mocking, but the hedge knight did not falter. “Yes,” he said firmly. “I mean to.”
Or, Aerion thinks he can ignore a mating bond. He can’t.
