Lightners throw out broken things, it was only a matter of time before his big hunk of dented metal, chipped plastic, and frayed wiring was gunna follow suit; replaced for his age, for his technical short comings, his appearance - ripped from his home so they could have something better.
You moved to this town a few weeks back, hired by the mayor as a general electrician and on the run from your past life. Your tinkering tendency has you saving a large CRT, left broken in the trash, and reminding you too much of yourself.

Summary
The Player was an odd thing.
They never spoke to anyone, only stared blankly at you whenever they gave you something, which was usually either literal trash (Penny reported being handed a dripping pile of trash from Mayor Lewis’s can), or the thing that you liked most. Sometimes it was a mix between the two, and on occasion, they gave you the thing that made you happy multiple days in a row if possible.
All in all, Sebastian thought they were really fucking weird.
