That steady beat, playing from a Bluetooth JBL speaker, was far too familiar. Zanka heard it all the time, playing down the hall of his university dorm. He swallowed the dread it brought and pushed the door open, leaving his key inside the lock.
His roommate was there, unpacking his own luggage, invasive as a nightmare. He turned at the sound of the door creaking open, his wide, magenta eyes gaping with such confusion that Zanka wondered if it was real. Jabber never got confused. He knew everything—magically, gallingly. It was one of the things Zanka hated about him. It was one of the things Zanka hated about himself.
"Mr. Bad Attitude," Jabber scoffed. "I just can't get away from you, can I?"
In which Zanka, lead guitarist of his rock band Akuta, is forced to room with up-and-coming rapper Jabber during an exclusive music retreat.

Uh so basically Zanka because of his backstory, crave for gentleness and love; meanwhile, Jabber was traumatized by his mother which then leads to him being scared of romance and gentle shyt. Zanka couldn't control himself and made Jabber had a panic attack. They had a big fight and hadn't spoke to each other for a month. But then, for some reason they meet each other again in a fight. This time, one of them have to kill another. (Just read the fic bro, no spoilers)

When Riyo had found out that Zanka had a boyfriend, she'd done her best to be supportive.
She just didn't expect the guy to end up being Jabber fucking Wonger.
At least she wasn't the only one caught off guard. After some negotiations, Zanka is grounded, forbidden from seeing Jabber for a whole month. Which goes about as well as one would expect it too. Meaning that it'd failed horribly.
But that was the least of Riyo's worries. Really, her main concern was figuring out how to handle this whole thing- what she was supposed to do, how she was supposed to react, she had nothing. She was missing way too much information, and it was really starting to bug her. For one, she has no idea what Jabber's actual intentions are with all this. And how could she know, when there seemed to be such a big gap between the Jabber she knew of and the one that Zanka apparently knew?
So when Jabber randomly shows up at her window, asking for advice, Riyo sees it for the golden opportunity that it is.
She'd get her information, keeping her guard up the whole time, and be right back where she wanted to be. Easy.
(Spoiler Alert: It ends up being a bit more complicated than that.)

Summary
Zanka knew that carrying out a relationship with a Raider as a Cleaner would be complicated. He knew he'd have to be careful. More than careful. He'd have to be perfect- no matter what, no one could find out about the truth. Not when he knew what the consequences would be.
Naturally, he slips up anyways, accidentally mentioning Jabber's name at HQ, and it’s all over.
Except its not. Because there's good news and bad news.
The good news was that Zanka hadn't actually said Jabber's name. Instead, he'd said a nickname. A nickname that nobody knew referred to Jabber.
The bad news was that now all the Cleaners thought that Zanka had a girlfriend named Abby, and if he wanted to keep his job, his family, and his relationship with Jabber, he was going to have to keep up the charade.
What could go wrong?

Summary
Zanka's getting real sick of Jabber having the upper hand. No matter the occasion, no matter what area, the Raider always seemed to be one step ahead. And it seemed like it was going to stay that way.
At least, until a strange encounter reveals one of Jabber's potential weaknesses. Gentle affection.
This was Zanka's chance. He could finally get one over on Jabber. If it weren't for one tiny problem. Zanka's own weakness: these strange, soft feelings he's been having for Jabber.
But it's fine. All he has to do is suppress them, squish them down. Out of sight, out of mind. He was going to get a win against Jabber, a win that counted.
You see, in spite of everything, Zanka hasn't exactly learned to stop being arrogant.
It'd be fine. He can do this. Jabber won't ever have to know about these feelings.

Summary
He sighs and closes his eyes, trying to focus on turning around and heading back to the Raiders' base. When he opens them again, he's climbing the wall toward Zanka's room.
"Oh well, what does it matter?" He thinks.
Zanka has the bad—or good, in this case—habit of sleeping with the window open, even when Jabber has touched him and his skin is freezing. It's not as if he's complaining, since it makes the process of entering much easier.
When he finally stands in the room and looks up, Zanka is sitting on the bed, eyes wide open, with Lovely Assistaff pointing directly at his neck.
Jabber blinks.
Jabber gets high (typical) and goes to visit Zanka (typical), who is awake, waiting for him (not so typical).

Jabber has never been one to give up easily, and getting the number of the cute student in his philosophy class wasn't the hardest thing he'd ever done. Although he'd never wanted him to hate him—it definitely would have been better if he hadn't.

Three months of dating usually meant a lot of things — kissing, holding hands, going out on proper dates. Even just simple stuff like hugging goodbye or sitting a little too close on the couch. Jabber knew their relationship was… odd, to say the least. They didn’t really do any of that. No casual touches, no soft kisses, none of the things people normally brag about when they hit the 3-month mark. But they did spend time together. A lot of it. Late nights talking until his phone died, walking across campus side by side, sharing food without asking, like it was second nature. Jabber had always just assumed Zanka was the type who needed time — someone slow with intimacy, someone careful. He never pushed. He trusted that what they had was real, even if it didn’t look like everyone else’s.
So when their three-month anniversary went wrong, Jabber couldn’t fix it. Worse, he felt foolish for ever thinking there had been a label to begin with.

There simply didn't exist any other explanation as to why the older teen was acting in such a suspicious manner, and even if it was it would probably be something even worse than what his mind can come up with.
So, he was going to solve this mystery and finally get the other to stop stalking him in such a weird manner.
Pretty easy, right?
Or, Zanka thinks his classmate is planning to either kidnap or kill him. In the end he manages to be wrong about both things.
