Summary
Some season four business. In which Emma's apologies lead to totally accidental dating. Which should be weird, but it's not. Also in which Emma buys Regina a grotesquely extravagant gift for someone who isn't in love with her. At all.

Bookmarker's Notes
coparenting goes crazy. they're on each other's team so much but they're also such a solid team. family in the most monumental sense, even in the gruffness and silly moments. i love when they just have honest to god getting-to-know-each-other conversations. ones where they just get to truly understand the other like no one else does, cos the consequences are theirs only to bear. i love this family!!!

Summary
After both Hook and Robin are killed (and Hook doesn't come back in my story!), Emma and Regina grow closer. At first it's about getting each other through the grieving process, but eventually it turns into a much deeper connection.
The story is a series of scenes that shows the evolution of their relationship. Some sexy times happen in later chapters. also I basically ignored the existence of Zelena.

Bookmarker's Notes
"I like that you called us a family earlier."
this develops so so so perfectly. goes down like fine wine. (sacred) walks, honest/vulnerable conversations, UTTER BELIEF in the relationship and the future-getting-through-things. captures that just like... calmly inevitable getting together thing that I love so nicely? A+ for amount of hugs n kisses throughout. mwah.
