Summary
Free radicals are weird things, and that was coming from a science student. They didn't seem all that interesting at first, yet when it appears on your syllabus to study for a major exam that determines your future you tend to find yourself having to be forced to feign interest. Even worse, when you sit down and crack open your textbook to study for the said exam the week before, and you find your mental state crumbling over an exam topic, that seems to cause even more of an inconvenience.
Chuuya was having a breakdown over one topic among dozens that he had to study for his biochemistry exam, and not for the reason a normal person would.

Summary
Calling art meaningless would be an insult to the entire formation of humanity. Since the beginning of human civilisation, there have been so many interpretations and expressions of human nature that art allows for the true depiction of the complexity of the race in itself. To be fair, even Rachel didn't quite understand why art was so highly regarded when she was younger, but looking back on it she couldn't fathom anything else. Art probably kept her sane within her near spiral to insanity for all those years until she finally learned the truth, and she would forever be indebted to that.
Another thing that helped was Percy.
Did he understand her? Definitely. Did he understand art? By no means.

Butterfly effect - A property of chaotic systems in which small changes in initial conditions result in non-linear impacts on a complex system
Maybe in another lifetime, there will be an outcome where all live a pleasant life free of pain. However, in this lifetime, one must suffer for another to prevail.
One small change results in a large outcome.
Or alternatively: what would happen if Dazai was the one saved by the ADA, and Yosano was left in the Mafia instead.

Day 8 - Overcrowded ER/ It's all for nothing
Fearfully turning to the source of the footsteps, Will looked to his friend who skidded to a stop beside him. Her rings of curls were no longer perfectly set into place, strands of hair threatening to spill from the loose ponytail the girl had put them in. No longer gleaming, her armour looked worse for wear, dented in some areas as the metal rose and sunk from her trying to catch her breath. Other than love, Drew's mother was a war goddess, as long as Will had known her she always seemed prepared for anything.
Looking into the girl's eyes, he knew she hadn't been prepared for that.

Day 5 - Debris/Pinned down
He groaned, still trying to focus after falling. Looking forward from where he and Percy had fallen, instead of the path that had been there previously, it was blocked by a dirt mountain: dirt, leaves, and even parts of trees made up the mass that was accumulated before them. Just by looking at it, Nico knew that there was no walking through that anymore. Then, dawning on him slowly like a soil creep, he realised something that made his stomach sink faster than the landslide.
He didn't see Hazel anywhere.
Before Nico could Fully process what had even happened, Percy was already screaming.

Day 2 - "They don't care about you"
If there was anything that felt worse than failing something that plagued Dazai's mind every day, it was this.
The days had already been bad enough recently. His thoughts had been too loud, he could barely convince himself to crawl out of bed in the morning, much less try and shower or brush his hair. For maybe the last week or so, he had looked like a walking corpse, and on every plane of existence he felt like it too. Dazai thought It couldn't have possibly gotten worse for him from there.
But no, of course, it could get worse, he thought as he stared blankly up at the dreary brown ceiling of his apartment. Of course, of course, he would get sick on top of all that.

Even though there was a hidden interest in his favourite childhood books, Ranpo wouldn't say that the writer was his favourite author. He didn't favour many people, as it seemed when he did things seemed to happen to them to cause tragedy. Though if he had to choose one, he would say without hesitation like he did everything else, that it would be Edgar Allen Poe.

Summary
He let Chuuya think for a moment, certain he would let him stay for a while longer and listen to him explain. There is always a possibility that he wouldn't hear what he had to say and kick him back out in the rain. In that circumstance, he might take his life on the driveway then. But in reality, Chuuya didn't throw him out like he half expected him to. Instead, he just sighed, as if he had given up on trying to get rid of him for once.
"Fine. I don't know why I'm taking you seriously but whatever, the sooner you leave the better. This would be the first thing we're doing together since-"
"You left without saying a word."
"Since you lied about your entire identity."
"Same difference."

Summary
Day 11- sloppy bandages
As this ugly, inhumane monster that couldn't possibly find himself among everyone else. Even something as minimal as the cheap fluorescent light in his bathroom unnerved him, he wasn't used to so much light, to the point where he had taken it upon himself to block it out with his blinds when he could.
Dazai stared at the reflection, and it stared right back.

Maybe Dazai could figure out a way to get him out, but he didn’t prepare for that option. Was Dazai ready to let him die just like that, he wasn't sure. If he somehow managed to succeed in finding an escape then good for him, he would, unfortunately, live another day to annoy Dazai with his existence. But if he didn’t…well it shouldn't be Dazais problem. Right?
