Roger savait que ses élèves étaient des petits génies, mais voir leur moyenne dépasser 87 à un test national l'a agréablement surpris. Et pour dire « agréablement surpris », c'est qu'il avait littéralement sauté sur place dans son appartement à 23h30, sachant pertinemment qu'il avait des voisins endormis. Lui qui, habituellement, se soucie de ce genre de désagrément avait certainement fait abstraction de tout cela pour un cas comme celui-ci. Mais que pouvait-il dire ? Ce n'était pas sa faute s'il était si fier de ses élèves.

The mask was peeled from ghostly skin. Tony’s jaw tightened as his eyes glazed over the stranger before them.
A boy.
His eyes were shut, sunken in and shadowed with eyebags that hung just aside of his cheekbones. His cheeks were flushed a vivid pink in contrast to the stark whiteness of his flesh. Blood trailed from his nostrils down the curvature of his face in a thin rivulet.
‘Shit, Tony, he’s a kid,’ Steve replied, voice almost wavering. Valorous, mighty ol’ Captain America brought to silence by a child.

Peter looks up and sees a face he prayed to never see again.

Shield orders The Avengers to raid a Hydra base. Things are going smoothly until they aren’t. A gas fills the room knocking the Avengers out. When Peter wakes up center stage for the avengers, he realizes that more then his life is at stake…maybe his past.

The man didn’t say a word as he slowly dragged the blade down the inside of Peter’s wrist, deep enough that any normal person would’ve bled out swiftly, and he had to fight against every one of his screaming instincts to stay quiet. His blood was hot and sticky as it quickly seeped from the vein Peter knew had been hit. The heat of it was almost comforting when the chair was so cold, but the initial rush of warmth faded as his fingertips began to turn to ice.
For a brief second, Peter entertained the idea of bleeding out, but his body was working against him and he could already feel his insides trying to stitch themselves back together.
“Fascinating…” The man whispered, before turning to scribble something in his notebook.

Tony notices the exhaustion, the way Peter is always somehow doing something, the way he shrinks a little more every visit. But there’s only so much he can see - until the day he hires a new worker.
