Summary
Jack sat there on Robby’s motorcycle finally spotting Robby leaving the hospital looking upbeat for once in his life. Robby looked up and Jack noticed the surprise on Robby’s face.
“One goodbye wasn’t enough for you, man?”
Jack stood up and put his hands in his pockets. “That’s what it was, wasn’t it? A goodbye. Not a ‘I’ll see you in three months’. A full goodbye.”
------
An imagined scene for the end of the season between Jack and Robby.

Summary
Jack whipped around and saw his absolute double. His hair didn’t have the flecks of gray that peppered Jack’s head, and he was a bit stockier than Jack, but he was unmistakably Jack’s brother. He was walking with two men, both with long hair, one blonde and one brunette. The other two men were deep in conversation. As if he could feel Jack’s stare, he started scanning the beach. His eyes landed on Jack. Jack could see the surprise on his face. “Jack?” his voice broke on the name.

Summary
Andrew hunched up and looked so small as he thought about it. “Smurf may have been a liar, but I’m…bad.” Tears started welling in his eyes. “I’ve hurt a lot of people. I could have hurt him. You don’t know…you’ve never seen…”
Carter wiped a tear from Andrew’s eye. “All I know is that you don’t want to hurt anyone. I think that speaks for itself.”
-----

Summary
Carter tried to look casual as he leaned against the kitchen island. “Well, I’m flirting. If you’re interested.”
Andrew got a thoughtful look on his face and tilted his head as he looked at Carter. His hands moved to his side and Andrew didn’t know what to do with his hands. He made a decision. He sighed and strode toward Carter. Carter was reminded of a predator stalking his prey. Carter stood up straight as Andrew moved into his personal space. Andrew looked at the floor and frowned. His gaze moved back to Carter scrutinizing him. Carter thought that it looked like Andrew could read his mind. Andrew’s hand started and stopped, then moved to gently cup Carter’s face. Carter’s hands moved to Andrew’s hips. Andrew smiled and moved in to give Carter a chaste kiss to his lips. “I’m interested.”

Summary
“I’m- I can’t convince myself to commit to a longer stay,” Robby admits, frustrated by it. “It’d be better for actually getting somewhere with antidepressants, I know, but I feel like once I take away the work and the bike and everything else I do… there’s a clock on how long I can be naked like that. When it runs out, if I’m not back on the right side, I’ll get stuck as nothing, forever.” Robby drops his face into his hand. “Why does this sound like The Little Mermaid?” he moans.
“Is this the kind of place where they throw a black bag over your head and smash your SIM card, or can I still talk to you?” Jack asks.

Summary
And so the words come—not as a question, not even as a considered response, but as the only possible interruption to the trajectory he can feel, with terrible certainty, unfolding before him.
“Please don’t go.”
