"We wanted to invite you into our relationship," Ichigo stated, ripping off the band-aid effectively into the stunned silence of the room.

“Nail polish,” Miyuki had said, handing the small bottle over to Furuya. “It’ll help keep your nails strong.”
Furuya had shrugged and pocketed the bottle. Anything to get back on the mound.
He forgets all about it until he’s shucking his pants later that night in favor of his pajama bottoms and they hit the floor with a clunk uncharacteristic of their fabric. He draws the forgotten bottle out of his pocket and purses his lips.
He sets it on the desk until he finishes changing, and then he holds it again, rolling it over between his palms.
It’s then that he realizes he has absolutely no idea how to paint his nails. -
