Summary
In Third-Age Valinor, Ecthelion’s parents receive a surprise visitor.
(Written as a present for my fandom friend and beta merihobu. I am not sure that it will interest the average reader, as it concerns a group of OCs: my Glorfindel and Ecthelion's parents. Also, there is no Doom or death or despair, only mild social awkwardness. Well, and some homophobia, but with a hopeful ending.)

“It was an accident. A ridiculous one.” The corners of Ecthelion’s mouth turned downwards. “I was walking past the archery butts when, quite suddenly, I was struck by a stray arrow.”
“Where?”
“In the northern corner, just past the Balrog-shaped targets.”
“No, where on your body?”
“In the… lower back.”

(The stories all share the same canon--until Glorfindel's rebirth. Then there are two different versions of how they reunite, each with its own sequence of fics.)If you're here for the first time, I suggest starting with Flawed and Fair, the first fic I wrote about these two, and still the most popular.

Summary
Lost Tales 2, "The Fall of Gondolin": "... so perished the Lord of the Fountain after fiery battle in cool waters." An important episode in the Fall of Gondolin, from the point of view of Glorfindel.
I have other, incomplete Glorfindel/Ecthelion slash works. This is the only complete one, I believe, and it is gen, though you could read implied slash, or believe they're very good friends and colleagues; either is perfectly plausible in this work.
