Summary
After years of avoiding the humans that feared them and the monsters that hated them, Jackson Jekyll and Holt Hyde are down to their last option; a quaint monster school where they desperately hope they will finally belong. And this time, they are determined to keep their secrets from being discovered. Except, running from the past isn't as easy as that, especially when the lines between two halves begin to blur.
Coming-of-age AU from the angsty perspective of Jackson and Holt as they navigate a new school. A tad cliché and heavily inspired by Ghouls Rule with elements and characterisations from the Lisi Harrison books, as well as the G1 movies and cartoon series.

Picking up a few years after the events of ATSV, with canon divergence regarding Miguel's backstory and other minor details, plus some settings and elements based on the Spider-Man 2099 comics. Overall inspired by bliztbika's work, mainly the dimensional travel aspect.

Summary
This is a series of one-shots based on my other work Pretend Everything is Normal where the perspectives of other characters will be explored. I would recommend probably reading that one first, if you want to read this.
Steve Harrington seems like the epitome of normal. He's an athlete, a slightly below average student, well-liked by most people. However, as the Upside Down encroaches on Hawkins, the people closest to him start to realize that nothing is really normal. They just haven't figured out that applies to Steve too.
Or Steve is from the lab and is an empath, but nobody realizes that.
Rated Teen for now, but may change later, I'm not sure. I don't have a plan.

No, Steve Harrington has a dark past he's desperate to escape, however that gets much harder when Will Byers goes missing and Steve just can’t shake the feeling that something is very wrong in Hawkins, something that's pointing straight to his past. But everything will be fine, right? All he has to do is pretend everything is normal.
Or, another lab experiment Steve story because I can’t get it out of my head, so I’m sharing it with everyone.
