There was something …captivating about watching Starscream fuel his new-spark. How his strong, deadly frame could be so gentle and nurturing, how such a viperous fiend could be so doting and soft for their defenceless young. Starscream, like this, was a sight reserved solely for Megatron.

Summary
Optimus and a number of disgruntled Autobots have begun to notice that Starscream is somehow even more unpleasant than usual. Of course, his first instinct is to try to find out what the problem is and do what he can to help. It's a shame that Starscream refuses to communicate what is wrong.

Megatron needed to leave. Right now.
“Is this some kind of trick?” he demanded.
Starscream shrugged. “I guess there’s only one way to find out.”
Megatron’s pedes were rooted to the spot. This was a terrible idea. He couldn’t afford to show any weakness, least of all to Starscream. However, Megatron couldn’t bring himself to leave. The hook in his core pulled him closer.
As if reading his mind, Starscream said, “Kneel and hold out your hands.”
Primus help him, Megatron did.
