Summary
Here in the light those eyes of his look real, staring Jacob down like a railgun locked on a target. Jacob’s never been much for religion or spent much time thinking about an afterlife. But being caught in the crosshairs of that cold, indifferent gaze sure raises the question about whether humans have a soul, and if they do, what happens to it when you die.
And if you can ever get it back.
The twists and turns of ME2, through the eyes of everyone but Commander Shepard.

Summary
A poker game on Omega goes awry. AKA, Kaidan and Joker walk into a bar on Omega and wind up on the run from the vorcha mafia over a bottle of whiskey and 5,000 credits.
Joker exhales. “Well, uh. I may have gotten us an invite to a backroom poker game at Afterlife.”
Kaidan rests his hands on his knees and eyes Joker warily. “Why would I want to play poker on Omega.”“You love poker!”
“On Omega? Are you kidding? They play poker with guns on Omega.”
Joker gestures to the arsenal at Kaidan’s feet. “Look at all the things you have in common.”

Summary
Peace does not extend to breakfast.
“You’re awfully quiet for someone who just put out such a magnificent spread.”
Kaidan waggles an eyebrow. “Resting on my laurels.”
Shepard knee stays at rest against his, and Kaidan leans a little more into it. The weight of it, the presence is…reassuring.
The sparrow that wings in from the roof and alights on Shepard’s stack of pancakes is less reassuring.

Summary
Garrus and Shepard share a moment of reflection.
“Can I ask you a question?”
Shepard holds up a finger, then swallows the rest of the whiskey like it’s a shot, smacking his lips and making a face. “Okay, go.”
“How much have you told Alenko about what happened while we were with Cerberus?”

Summary
Sam Shepard and Kaidan Alenko, outside the main Opus!Verse. Here you'll find prompts and one-shots that don't quite belong in their main "canon" story. These are concept art ideas, self-indulgent 'what if this happened' stories and 'how many times in how many different ways can I write their first kiss' stories. :)

The gift Shepard had given Garrus would have felt special coming from a turian, but Garrus wasn't sure if Shepard had truly meant it that way or if that was merely wishful thinking on his part.

Summary
“But why did Hawke kill Orsino? Why attack a mage when he’d come to protect mages? Why behead both powers in Kirkwall at once? It would almost make more sense if he’d tried to seize the throne afterwards,” Leliana added thoughtfully, “but as it is - no. I do not believe the Champion was ever truly motivated by considerations of power. And here is Master Tethras telling us a story. The same story, word for word. Almost to the word the version he wrote down in his Tale of the Champion.”
“You think Varric is lying about this,” Cassandra said.
“Storytellers lie about everything,” Leliana said. “I should know.”
