“It’s okay Haitham, you can just sit there and look pretty whilst I do all the hard work,” he says.
Alhaitham huffs at that, rolling his eyes not unlike how Kaveh had done earlier — half exasperation, half amusement, but there’s a small tick at the edges of his mouth that lets Kaveh know he’s enjoying their little back and forth.
“It would probably be the first time you did,” Alhaitham mutters, turning around and walking away as Kaveh lets out an offended shout and calls him a coward for running away.
Kaveh simply shakes his head and cannot stop the fond grin that emerges on his lips as he mutters about ungrateful roommates and whatnot.
Kaveh’s been (secretly) pining for his roommate for months now. Who knew all it would take is a shower and some sabz meat stew for things to change between them.
