The small hand catches at five minutes to the moment where he’s going to look around and know he can’t do this anymore. It’s not like Seunghyun makes the doomsday clock in his head common knowledge but Jiyong has a sixth sense for it. That, or incredible timing. But it’s impossible, really, not to notice the way the times between promising himself he can find a way through this, and knowing he can’t, are getting smaller and shorter.

Summary
Youngbae says nothing, just hugs him tight before he pulls back, their hands still connected. He presses his index finger into Seunghyun’s chest, and gives him this long and indescribable look. It steals his breath a little, feels suitably terrifying and also incredibly forgiving. He hugs him again.
“Good to see you”, he murmurs into the crook of Youngbae’s neck.
“Yeah”, Youngbae says, and smiles, incredulous and soft “Yeah it is”.
And then, chin in his palm and legs crossed over, Jiyong’s eyes flicker to meet his. His presence is this physical, unignorable thing, even as Daesung asks how Seunghyun is, and Youngbae tells him they got him a beer, and he shucks off his coat. Jiyong’s all there is.
“Hi”, he manages, and it feels like it sucks the heat from the whole room.
Jiyong bites his lip, like his smile is some illicit thing. “Hi”.

Summary
“Jiyong-ah”, Seunghyun calls suddenly, from where he's leaning against the tinted window of their van. There's some space between him and the boy he just called, who's sitting on the opposite side, legs folded over the seat. He's staring at a notebook, with a pen pressed against his bottom lip, seemingly writing. “You're actually a pretty cute girl.”
Jiyong's ears turn red before he can voluntarily respond, and the way the reaction doesn't immediately come it's an indication that he doesn't even know how he is supposed to react. The color is creeping up to his cheeks, and he still doesn't look at his friend before cursing under his breath: “Fuck off.”
“No, seriously-”
Or: The year is 2008. They just filmed a parody of some drama and Seunghyun is shell shocked about how good Jiyong looks as a girl.

Beautiful things that possess, pollute, bite, sting, obliterate, and potentially kill. Sparks flying from a firework, neon hues of a box jellyfish, a wish tied to a shooting star, waves of the clear ocean, graceful and streamlined bodies of racing cars, Charles.
