Summary
Mav had long since grown past getting heated at a guy implying he was a fairy. He wasn't stupid; he was pretty, and in the Navy- the jokes wrote themselves. There was no point engaging in it, he'd built too tough a skin. For most people, that is. Ice had always possessed the special ability to get under Mav's skin, even when no one else could. Older, not exactly wiser, they're back in the same place, and Mav still can't believe how much he lets the blond get to him. It's even worse than before, if he really thought about it, because he finds himself feeling something deeper than respect for his wingman. Ice, of course, knows this.

Summary
It’s never been settled. It hangs like bait between them both, unspoken of, and eyed intently after heats and Top Gun class reunions. Maverick doesn’t plan on addressing it. He’s the highest-ranked omega in the fucking fleet, which isn’t saying much, but it’s true and he got there by himself – not because of Ice. He’s never pictured a life with an alpha factored into the equation, it was his experience that they usually ruined it. So he buries the desire and ignores its constant howling.
Then he gets sick. Then it turns out he’s fucking pregnant.
