Summary
After the events of Ultron, Wanda was brought back to the United States with the rest of the Avengers, under the assurance that she would leave her life of Hydra-lead torment behind, and train to become something better. An Avenger, perhaps; but it wasn’t as easy as one-two-three. At the base of it all, Wanda first had to adjust to moving to the other side of the world; and her body was making sure to draw it out as long as possible, in the form of throwing up at even the mention of any food, to clogged noses and fevers that would rival any of the worst flu seasons one has ever witnessed.
Lucky for Wanda, she has new… friends that are willing to sit by her side as she sweats - then shivers - profusely, and pukes her guts out.

Natasha Romanoff knew the feeling of emptiness more than anyone and, in the midst of chaos, she decided to focus her grief on helping the ones who needed it most: children who lost their families to the snap.
Thus, the Avengers' Home for Children was created, named after those she lost, too.

Victoria nodded, her hand tightening on the strap of her pink tote bag as McKay smiled down at her with pretty blue eyes and slightly messy hair. Behind her navel, a familiar fluttering took up, like a million little wings were taking flight in her stomach. Dread climbed up her spine as she realized what the fluttering meant.
Stupid, stupid, stupid, pounded in her head like a drum. The word hit the inside of her skull with all the force of a hammer, over and over and over again.
Because if a crush on Mateo had been silly, one on Dr. McKay was fucking idiotic. But the attention felt so nice. And when McKay was murmuring instruction and praise into Victoria’s ear, she felt so much more in control than she usually did.
And, really, there wasn’t much more Victoria wanted than just a little bit of control.

Over the course of her career, Baran has seen tens of thousands of cases, of which a thousand, probably more, have been standard fall injuries from household accidents. She’s also seen a decent number that were less-than-accidental, and knows that they are, unfortunately, almost identical to the accidental ones.
