Honestly, there were reasons why he hadn’t thought about it. But the biggest problem was Renjun, which sounds like a super awful thing to say but what Donghyuck meant was that it was particularly hard to go up to his roommate and tell him “heyyy you’re the only one in our group who I haven’t fucked yet, shall we?” because Renjun Huang wasn’t just any man. He was the cutest man alive, who deserved the best and deserved something more eloquent than a simple request to have sex as if it were either a casual thing or a dirty little secret. And while Donghyuck wasn’t a romantic like Mark, who so elegantly wrote Renjun a poem and took him out before having sex with him for the first time, he knew that he wanted to do something… Better.
It’s not like he was trying to one-up Mark, okay?

If you exclude some of the tiny details, like the rude customers who threaten to send the ministry of health to them, and the absolutely disgusting smell of onions that has clung perpetually to his hands since day one, and the annoying ringing of the telephone every few minutes — And, fine, okay, there’s actually just one big perk. A perk that has a name. And is also the reason he hasn’t left this god forsaken job.
There’s this customer, Huang Renjun, who, albeit being the prettiest human who’s ever set foot on earth, is also an uncannily weird person.

“Sorry—didn’t mean to scare you,” Jisung mumbles, pushing his glasses back up with one finger.
Renjun’s gaze flickers to the movement. That hand. It’s ridiculously big—his fingers long and clumsy in a way that looks both awkward and strangely compelling. Renjun swallows, suddenly hyper-aware of how dry his throat feels.
He doesn’t respond right away. The alcohol makes everything slightly off-kilter, the edges of Jisung’s silhouette fuzzy, so he has to focus, really concentrate, to take him in. The details settle piece by piece: the soft grey shirt stamped with a nerdy pun Renjun doesn’t even try to understand; the faded blue jeans worn just enough to be comfortable; the beat-up red Converse, scuffed and frayed at the edges. And then, the glasses—thick black frames that belong on a library shelf more than on someone’s face. They should look ridiculous. But on Jisung, they’re… distracting.
“Hyung?”
Renjun blinks. “Yeah?” His own voice comes out low, almost cautious, like he’s afraid of startling the younger boy.
“Do you, uh… still need help with the water?”

What the fuck is going on. “We recorded for Inkigayo yesterday.” We recorded for Inkigayo, and then you had a solo schedule and I came home and stole back all the little pieces of my life from Jaemin’s room before passing out for the better part of a day.
Donghyuck stares at him as though he thinks Renjun’s lost his mind. Maybe he has. “No,” he says. “We didn’t.”
But they did. “Right,” Renjun whispers, quietly reeling. “I don’t know what I was thinking.”
Renjun and Jaemin break up on a Monday. On a Tuesday, they deal with the fallout. Then, they do it all over again.
