    Summary

In chapter 45 of Pride and Prejudice, Elizabeth and her aunt have dropped by Pemberley to pay their respects to Miss Darcy, unbeknownst to Mr. Darcy, who's off fishing with Elizabeth's uncle and a few other dudes. But then Darcy finds out about the ladies' social call and deserts his dudes to hurry back to the house and barge in on the fancy lady tea time, all so he can talk to Elizabeth. I find this hilariously adorable, so I wrote this fic to explain how Darcy finds out that Elizabeth is in his house and what’s going through his head.

“Your niece and wife are at the house right now?”

Mr. Gardiner suppressed a smile. “I would imagine so, sir.”

Darcy squinted over Mr. Gardiner’s head in the direction of Pemberley House, as if he might be able to see Elizabeth from this distance, despite the fact that the house itself was not even visible. His man held his fishing rod out to him, but Darcy did not notice, simply continued to stare into the distance.

    Summary

He’s in the middle of slicing the sandwiches when Cas pads into the room. As Dean turns to look at him, his breath catches in his throat. His heart races. It’s so stupid, too because Cas isn’t wearing a cowboy outfit or anything else salacious. He’s wearing a pair of Dean’s oldest softest sweatpants and a worn band t-shirt with a hole in the collar. He looks beautiful.

Cas comes back to Dean during a summer storm.
