It had been two days into their trip when Phainon said something that sent a chill up his spine.
"You're so cute, I could eat you right up."
Phainon had his face against Mydei's hair as they were taking a break, still a day's walk away from Castrum Kremnos. It was a little odd for a predator to be so affectionate with the likes of him, but Mydei had shrugged it off as Phainon's personality, until that moment.
He wants to eat me after all!
Mydei, a rabbit hybrid, freaks out when the wolf hybrid who claims to protect him talks about eating him. Phainon clears the air with actions instead of words.

Summary
Phainon stumbles along, too excitedly for someone in an university library. The hand around Mydei's waist is decidedly too close to slipping beneath Mydei's shirt for Castorice's comfort, but who is she to say anything about it? Mydei doesn't seem too uncomfortable by the way Phainon presses up against him, only shoving him aside when he's trying to get his laptop out.
"And you?" Hyacine kicks Phainon under the table, a firm thud that contorts Phainon's face into a pained wince.
"Emotional support?"
"Emotional distress is what you cause."
Phainon is interested in Mydei. Everyone but him realises.

Aglaea shakes her head, her heels clicking on the floor. "Not exactly. We should wait for him— Ah, he's here."
The frosted glass doors open to an unrecognisable person. Phainon is aware of such, because he would certainly have this ethereal being etched into his memory if they had met before.
The man grimaces at him with pursed lips, before he nods in greeting. Phainon didn't think he had a type, but this man is checking boxes he did not know existed.
"This is Mydeimos," Aglaea says, unaware of the wedding bells chiming in Phainon's head at the moment. "He's the heir to Kremnos SE, and one of our major shareholders."
Star idol Phainon meets Mydei. His first thought is to put him in his place.

“It’s a shame he isn't in the industry,” the other agrees. “I mean look at that ass! Who wouldn’t want to tap that? I bet he’d make millions being a model.”
Phainon stiffens, and this time, he’s the one clinging to Mydei as they stop abruptly. Oblivious, Mydei makes a confused noise when Phainon pulls his arm out of his grip only to wrap his arm around his waist, shielding his ass, tempted to grope it to remind everyone who it belonged to.
