Summary
Despite attempting to keep the long forgotten ability to shape shift a secret, it along with the secret of Venin have gotten out. Now Riders desperately want to unlock the ability in themselves, thinking it will be the way to turn the tide in the battle against the venin. But no one seems to know how to unlock that power, or no one is telling.
After the Battle of Basgiath, Lilith agrees to send squads in rotations to different locations across the continent in an attempt to unlock this ability, unable to join them from the injuries that she has incurred. And for some reason, Xaden Riorson has been allowed his title back.
Violet has to try and figure out how to unlock this ability in herself, if she can, while hiding her status of an Omega from the entire Rider’s Quadrant. What happens when someone not only finds out what she is, but promises that they could help her unlock that ability as well?

Violet Sorrengail has spent seven months being very normal about her neighbor.

Violet loved a lot of things. She loved a lot of people.
Her sister; Mira. Her father, her mother....she wouldn't get into that, that would take too long.
She had made friends, her dear Squadmates; Rhiannon, Sawyer and Ridoc. Dain, her childhood friend.
And of course, Xaden. Her sweet, loving, badass boyfriend.
But she knew something, deep in her heart. Something she had tried to deny, something she had hidden deep within her heart. She was never their first choice. They would never choose her, not truly. She wouldn't be the first choice.
Mira would choose the lives of the people, her mother would choose her priorities as a General, Rhiannon would choose their Squadmates, so would Sawyer and Ridoc. Dain would choose his Father. And Xaden? If came down to everything and anything, he would choose the Marked Ones; Bodhi, Garrick, Imogen, Liam and everyone else.
No one would choose her.
Except maybe, Andarna.
And perhaps Tairn....

Summary
"Do you want me to?" Liam asks.
Xaden lifts his head, and Liam kisses him. Violet admires the sight of their mouths meeting gently, Liam's tongue teasing Xaden's mouth open. They kiss languidly, and that seems to be Xaden's answer, because Liam pulls back and smiles.
"Slow and nice today, huh, Xay?" he asks, and Xaden nods, closing his eyes in bliss as Liam rakes a hand through his hair. Violet tilts her head. Those two are speaking in their own language and she is trying to create a dictionary, so she observes them carefully, interested in the outcome. Violet loves puzzles and mysteries, and is always just as delighted when they give her clues to understanding them.

Violet is on her period, and Xaden and Liam are in the mood for something slow and intense. She doesn't mind watching.
