All throughout rehearsal that day, Tsukasa could only pick up on how off Rui was acting.
Usually, he never forgot lines, was always in perfect timing, and expressed however much energy was needed for the part he was assigned to play. However, that day, Rui was spacing out, and either fumbled or completely forgot a good amount of his lines.
So of course, Tsukasa is concerned.

He’s alone in the office.
“No,” Phoenix chides himself out loud, staring at Charley as if he was going to answer back. “I am a thirty-four year old man and I am not going to jack off in my office. I’m not.” He stares at Charley, hoping that somehow he could knock some sense into him.
Charley, like most plants, does not answer.

And sure, it’s 1AM, but it seems deeper than that—a bone-deep sort of tiredness she recognizes from last Christmas, when Apollo was sickly and depressed and barely able to get out of bed.
Some things never leave you. Trucy knows that well; there’s a hole in her own heart that she hasn’t ever been able to fill, no matter how much she tries.
