In which Steve and Bucky are forced to room together their senior year at boarding school, and accidentally soul bond to each other even though they kind of hate each other. All they have to do to get out of it is not kiss each other for a year so the accidental bond will fade. How hard could it be?

“Motherfucker,” Bucky curses. Then he takes a fortifying breath. He can do this. He’s Bucky Son of A Senator Barnes. He runs a hand through his hair, messing it up in the front just the way he knows men and women like it.

Summary
Steve Rogers is a famous actor who is about to release a new movie when a violent altercation at Pride Day labels him as a homophobe and threatens to ruin his career.
James Barnes is a brilliant, but unknown, actor who is typecast as a pained gay man.
To solve both problems with one stroke, Rogers’ and Barnes’ agents come up with a beneficial-for-all agreement: a fake relationship.

“What do you think?” asks a deep voice that has been haunting Steve’s dreams and waking hours.
Steve tries to glare at James, but one look at those grey-blue eyes leaves him breathless, disarmed.
They spent just one night together. The next morning, James woke with a limp in his step but with his skin wiped clean of every bruise. Steve made more, savage with the knowledge that nothing he could do would be permanent, that the imprint of his teeth couldn’t stay on James’s skin any more than James himself could stay with Steve in that sleepy motel in the middle of nowhere. And James let him, baring every inch of himself like he wanted the marks with the same desperation as Steve, like he was also choking on the looming end of their stolen hours.
It’s been seven months, and now James is in front of him, solid and true, no longer a wistful daydream.
