Summary
The Centaurs face Montreal for the first time since Shane joined his husband in Ottawa. Shane has feelings about being forced to leave the team he thought he would retire with.
The Voyageurs are assholes, of course. They insult Ilya and involve Irina. The Centaurs decide that going after mothers is fair game after that and that have access to Google to get first names... Coach Wiebe realizes Shane is going to come to Ottawa as soon as his relationship with Ilya is revealed. He has plans : the Cup is going to be theirs.
Said plans involve Shane and Ilya together on the power play, of course, but also training a player specifically to complement Shane in an insane penalty kill set up...This is a fic about Shane as a player, his relationship with other players and Wiebe as a coach. Quite unrealistically, all these hockey players are expressing emotions.
