“Are you going to put me down in your notes?” Alex asked, teasing at the edge of George's corrected files with a wandering finger.
George pulled them back, pointedly ignoring the way his hand brushed Alex's and even more the shiver it sent up his own spine. “Maybe,” he didn’t know what possessed him to wink, but he did. “I just might be able to convince Hamilton to hire if you're looking for a job.”
“I'm happily employed at the moment.” Alex gestured around the cafe with a sweeping hand.
“Because serving teas before dawn is so thrilling,” George said.
Alex smirked. “Only the earl greys.”
Or: George Russell, secretary for Hamilton Agents, meets a cute barista named Alex at his favorite cafe.

Summary
George pauses when he notices his hips.
He winces at the sight.
The heat from the shower had melted into the old scars. The calloused patches burn against the paleness of his usually unexposed skin, presenting an alarming contrast. Angry red lines mark his hipbones. They look like a particularly nasty rope burn—one that tore open flesh. He runs his hands over the uneven texture.
George scrubs harder, bruisingly.
For a second, hysterically, he thinks of Toto Wolff.
He presses the pads of his fingers into the area. It’s as if he clawed hard enough, he could erase the marks from his body. He knows it’s silly. Regardless, he still tries. On bad days, George tries until the blood coagulates under his nails.
OR
Max to Mercedes is announced during summer break. George is left rotting in a team that has already forsaken him for the rest of the season. He can only crawl back to Williams, utterly abandoned by Toto, but still desperate to prove himself to the older man. He finds unlikely solace in someone he should hate the most…
Inspired by the toxicity of this season so far.

Summary
Liam never had the Rookie experience.
It's a little fact he hardly thinks about truth be told, a small thing that only sometimes nags at the back of his mind, something so small, so irrelevant he feels a little embarrassed to even acknowledge at all most of the time, let alone allow himself to feel anything regarding it.
F1 is fast. F1 is unpredictable. F1 is harsh.
At least that was his experience: Liam wasn't taught how to navigate it, he was one of those kids who learned how to swim by being thrown on the deep end while the adults around watched with vague interest, not overly worried about the possibility of him sinking because they had other kids waiting by the shore.
He didn't know things could be different, but oh how clearly he saw that they could.
Just not for him.
Or: 5 times Liam didn't think he mattered as much to Max and the Rookies and the ensuing crash outs they had over it.

"I don't have a soulmark" Lando blurted out.
Oscar froze.
"Not that I don't have yours, I just don't have one" he rushed out before letting out another awkward laugh "part of the other 50 percent I guess" he half shrugged as he said it, as if trying to downplay it, trying to soften the blow.

Lando attaches the blushy, pouty photo and sends it, then locks his phone and drops it onto the carpet beside him, staring up at the ceiling.
There’s a pause, stretching suspiciously long.
A faint click echoes through the call. Mute. Then unmute again.
“Sorry,” OP says when he comes back, his voice rougher now. “Thought someone was at the door.”
Or: Lando loses an F1 championship and signs up for a charity Minecraft speedrunning tournament to cope with his existential crisis. Turns out his coach, faceless speedrunning champion OP81, might be a bit of a fanboy.

JUNE 10, 1985
MONDAY“I’m just saying, if ghosts were real, they wouldn’t be hanging out in Hawkins!” Robin argued, feet swinging just above the ground from her perch on the counter they were supposed to keep clean to prep toppings for the ice cream, but three days after training ended, Steve had elected to stop caring about things like that.
He shook his head as he muscled out a scoop from a fresh (freezer-burnt) tub of sorbet. “You are so incredibly wrong it’s not even funny.”
Robin sighed in a way that Steve knew meant she was rolling her eyes, feet tapping an even staccato rhythm against the cabinets as she gently kicked back-and-forth. “No, I am absolutely right. If what you said about ghosts only being formed by super-traumatic deaths is true, then there’s literally no possible way that ghosts hang out in Hawkins.”
Steve couldn’t help but snort. The irony was not lost on him, for once.

“Uh…” he ran a hand through his hair. “Me?”
“You?” Rob raised an eyebrow.
“Yeah, I mean… Steve Harrington isn’t my birth name,” he grimaced, realizing he had forgotten to mention that.
Or: The Party watches The Black Phone and learns a lot of new things about Steve. Maybe a little too many.

Summary
On George Russell's downfall as he chases the 2026 World Driver's Championship title.
"...he picked up his doctor-approved specific toothpaste, squeezing one and a half centimetre’s worth onto his equally carefully chosen electric toothbrush, then ran it under the sink. But only after recapping the tube, and lining the objects on the bathroom counter in the exact configuration he had left them last night. George was about as meticulous as one could get brushing his teeth, counting exactly the same rhythmic brushes for each tooth before moving onto the next: side, bottom, inside, next. As he completed his brushing with the exact amount of force required to clean but not damage his enamel, George stared into his own eyes in the mirror. He looked… detached. It was like he was looking but not really, like his brain was far away..."
A classic, (hopefully long) mental health journey, where the protagonist unreliably narrates his own denial for far too long, and intervention is required.

Nico had a life he'd worked hard for, and he was happy with that; he didn't want or need a soulmate. The universe disagreed. And maybe, a decade ago, that would have been fine. But in the middle of a race season, after all the bad blood between them, Nico wasn't sure he and Lewis even had a relationship to repair anymore. Was there room in their lives for one-another?

Summary
Steve Harrington is a liar, and an idiot, and losing his goddamn mind.
Okay. A little harsh, and only half truthful.
He’s staring at a dead sort of thing, blinking his eyes and hoping it’ll go away.
Barbara Holland. He’s staring at Barbara Holland.
He’s never—God, seeing them wasn’t a part of the deal. Not his deal, anyways, not his powers, or whatever the fuck he wanted to call it. Not his curse, not his burden, not his, not his, not his—
(no, actually, nothing about this is a part of Steve Harrington at all. They’re part of Finney Blake, who he left in Denver.)
Barb doesn’t disappear, even when he pretends he can’t see her, even when he rubs his eyes hard enough to hurt, even when he blinks.
She opens her mouth, and the phone starts ringing. There’s a slow drip-drip-drip that starts in the kitchen sink, and dampness fills the air.
or; finney moves to hawkins, changes his whole damn life, including his name, and the upside down ruins his chances at normalcy... (stranger things s1 rewrite)
