Summary
“You can’t tell anyone,” Lottie blurts out once the guilt and shame have settled nicely onto her chest.
Nat scoffs as she reaches the last button on her shirt. “Why?” She knows the answer, but she wants to hear Lottie say it. Maybe it’ll make her realise how fucking stupid she’s being.
“I’m with Laura Lee.”
“Right,” Nat spits out bitterly. “Then why-” she takes a deep breath in before continuing. “What the fuck are you doing Lottie? Why am I here?”

Summary
Lottie’s lips brush over her palm again, slow, pressing her teeth softly against the skin near the tiny cut. The sensation sends a jolt through Natalie’s entire body, her stomach twisting at the strange, unbearable intimacy of it.
“Don’t bite it.” Her pulse pounds so loud in her ears she can barely hear her own voice as she mutters, low and warning.
Lottie exhales, lips still grazing her skin. “I want to.”
Natalie almost jerks her hand away this time. Almost. But she doesn’t—because Lottie’s looking at her like she’s starving, like she needs her, and maybe there’s something deep, deep inside Natalie that likes that. That likes the way Lottie clings to her like this, like she’s something holy, something worth consuming.
“Lottie, don’t.” She grits her teeth, voice sharp.
Lottie tilts her head, her thumbs stroking over the back of Natalie’s hand, soothing, coaxing. There’s something almost reverent in the way she holds her, but beneath it—hunger.
Not just hunger. Desperation.
Or
After Ben's trial, Natalie grapples with the brutal reality of survival while becoming increasingly entwined with Lottie in ways she never expected.
