It startles a laugh out of McCoy, and he shakes his head. “You’re kidding. You think I’m stupid?”
Spock’s fingers tighten minutely against the fabric of his pants, hardly more than a twitch. It takes an incredible amount of effort to keep his voice from breaking. “I don’t believe I ever implied that I did.”
McCoy rolls his eye and leans his hip heavily against the biobed where Spock sits. “You think I don’t know Jim’s fucking you?”

He needed McCoy to leave. No, he needed him to stay. He needed control. Or maybe he needed to lose it completely.
“Your emotions are quite… prominent.”
McCoy blinked. “Spock?”
He was on the verge of making a decision from which no part of their relationship could return. And then he was struck with a thought.
“Doctor, what occurred between you and my alternate self one month and two days ago?”
Or: Spock and McCoy deal with their emotions in the aftermath of “Mirror, Mirror”. Turns out, there are realizations to be had between them (i.e. they like each other).
