Summary
Nepeta, Jade, Kanaya, and Aradia trapped living in the world of Remnant, making the best of the situation and hoping to find a way out. No one is OP, no characters replaced, multiple POVs
(Rated M prematurely for future depictions of graphic violence.)

Summary
The story of two young deviants, their friends and enemies, and a moirallegiance forged in alienation.
(Set on Alternia in a no-game AU featuring a very strange version of troll culture in which social gender roles somewhat resemble the inverse of their human equivalents. Technically a prequel/reboot of the very old fic 'Together We'll Ring In The New Year.')

Summary
Toriel is not a fan of strange noises in the middle of the night, and she's definitely not a fan of coming downstairs in the dark to see her child silhouetted against the flicker and hiss of a TV screen that's showing nothing but static.
(A short, silly creepypasta-ish "horror" story written for no particular reason. Prose is deliberately more purple and spooooky ghost story-ish than usual.)

Summary
Chara Dreemurr never expected to open their eyes again, but sometimes in life and in death, there really are second chances... however bizarre those chances may be.
(Rated M for language and possibly violence. Arguably a re-telling of Undertale, with slightly altered starting circumstances kicking off a spiral into nightmarish futures. Charisk but mostly about plot.)

"... I thought... I never really asked because I thought you were... sad. I thought you'd talk about it when you were ready. About... about the surface."
"Well, I just did, so I guess you're always right about me, huh?"
"Chara, please stop it? You're really hurting my feelings. That's not a joke."
"It's pretty funny for something that's not even a joke, then."

'Not just for you, but for the people you care about.'
There's something about those words that doesn't feel right. She was scared. Not just worried or concerned, but scared. Her eyes couldn't possibly hide that raw, startling fear. You don't think people look like that when they've been telling a story to get a message across; they look like that when they're desperate.
She wasn't really saying what she meant at all, even though the distinction should probably just be semantics. It was more like 'Not just for you, but for the people who care about you.'

Summary
Only weeks before the 4th Holy Grail War, a worldwide pulse of unidentifiable energy seems to have warped the summoning ritual, leaving seven Masters to deal with teenage heroes and demigods from an entirely different layer of reality, not to mention the War itself. (Homestuck characters (around the age 16-17 time period) end up as Servants. Hilarity and tragedy ensues.)
This is it. A maelstrom of insanity, unbearable frustration. You've already learned that there's nothing you can do to make your fate any less cruel. You are at your breaking point. No, beyond it; you're living in the world that exists after you've lost your mind. Only shreds of your identity remain, the broken, tattered bits of what was once a proud Magus.
You've reached your second hour of loitering in a small, weird Japanese video rental store, waiting for Rider to finish picking out the worst movies you can even imagine. Using your money. Finally, you know what it is to face true despair. It's a half-ghost kid with buck teeth who's just grabbed another awful tape off the shelf with a look on his face like he's already in heaven.

Summary
"You know you're probably the first Guardian to set your own ship on fire from the inside, right? I'm pretty sure there should be a medal for being that insane."
Now you're starting to remember what happened, or at least flickers of it: three ships breaking formation under heavy fire from the moon's surface, banking away from a hail of arc bolts and accelerating at full power to push through their targeting range.
You always were a terrible pilot.

Summary
GODDAMN do you hate this place, these weirdly-colored hornless people who move through the streets in overwhelming swarms with their constant suspicious glares, the endless disturbing roar of vehicles on the streets outside and in the sky, that hideous and malicious sun, but you don't hate any of it as much as you hate yourself for talking yourself into this mess to begin with.
That's you right there, Karkat motherfucking Vantas, eternal master of making astonishingly bad decisions that he can't do anything about but regret and then brood over endlessly, and you think you probably would have slit your own throat with one of your sickles long before the entire quarter of a sweep you've managed to stand being stranded here if not for the presence of the troll who's abruptly and gently knocking on your door.
[[A long fic with significant focus on Karkat and Kanaya in a universe where, after a brutal three month war ending with a sudden change in politics, the Alternian Empire attempts to repair species relations by sending volunteers to live in the Sol system.]]

Summary
“Can you walk?”, she asks, and you just nod dumbly. You could probably convince yourself that all of this is a dream if you wanted to, but it's not a dream, it's totally real and none of it makes any fucking sense.
“Pull up the hood. It's not fitted yet, so at night anybody else will just think you've got tiny horns and a complex about them.” The Alt turns to leave, makes it a few steps, and then turns around again. “Get that projectile dispenser back and keep your eyes wide open.”

Summary
IV: "Who is the 'she' you're referring to? Someone you're emotionally close to?"
DS: "Nah, not really. Just a girl I used to play games with. Haven't seen her in fifteen years, three months, eight days, two hours, fifty one minutes, and twenty five seconds, so I wouldn't say close exactly. Time's a bitch like that."
Interviewer compares the figures given to the patient's stated age.
IV: "Are you aware that what you're saying is that the last time you saw whoever it is you're referring to was roughly one minute before you were born?"

Summary
You're reaching down to see if you can wake her up when she does it on her own, opening eyes with irises a shade of green that's either almost or literally too vivid and intense to be natural. The two of you stare at each other and then she coughs and turns her head to the side and spits some blood onto the concrete floor while you wince.
"Eewww," she says, then "oh well!" She struggles to sit up and you give her a bit of a hand. "Sorry, but could you answer a few questions for me?"
You're not sure what you expected, but that definitely wasn't it.

Summary
The streets are loud and gross and moldy and gray like always, except for the people, who are much too numerous for comfort and all of their different scents make you a little bit dizzy, but you're used to that by now, at least as used to it as you can be; you are not the kind of girl who is defeated by her environment (or anyone for that matter) and you know exactly where you're going anyway. Eventually you find your weird little coffee shop and the nice barista who never inspires you to dream of causing her to experience incredible death, order some tea with lots of red syrupy stuff in it, and sniff your way to an empty table where you can just be away from everything in peace and possibly release some tension by causing minor harm to somebody if the need arises.

Summary
You never thought a person could move so fast, and a gap of at least twenty feet is closed almost before you realize anything is happening at all. Something curved and razor sharp is pressed against your frozen throat and you are apparently now the prisoner of a voice that’s about as far from Mary’s as you can imagine.
“I see that hand, motherfucker,” he says, raw and furious. “One more inch toward that knife and your thinkpan's parting ways with the rest of your gross lanky husk.”

Summary
This is a series of short side stories for my foolishly ambitious fic project Together We'll Ring In The New Year. None of these stories are necessary to follow the main fic, but reading them will probably give some insight into things and characters you wouldn't have gotten otherwise. Really, this is a dumping ground for all the little New Year scenes that I can't fit into the main fic. That's about the size of it in a nutshell! The list of relationships and characters and additional tags will keep growing as the side stories cover more ground.
EACH 'CHAPTER' HERE WILL COME WITH A WARNING IF IT CONTAINS SPOILERS, AND IF SO, WHAT MAIN FIC CHAPTER SHOULD BE REACHED BEFORE THE AUTHOR CAN RECOMMEND READING IT.

Summary
Then you see your hive in the distance, tilted just as it used to be, and somehow it makes the you think of the Game more than anything else. This is the moment when a particularly massive and mutated cyclops peers over a not so distant cliff and wanders in your direction. When it sees you it roars and you're preparing yourself to be STRONG, stronger than you were when... and then suddenly you feel... strange. It takes a second to realize that of your three strife specibi, one is missing: now you see only Fistkind and Bowkind, ½Bowkind nowhere to be found.
You pull a bow from your specibus, already knowing what's going to happen and trying it anyway. Addiction is a powerful thing.

Summary
You feel it in the air between you, eventually, the way that even when nobody else is around she doesn't smile how she used to: now she sniffs at you like just smelling you is a personal insult, like she's always one more snide remark away from unsheathing her cane-sword and doing a lot worse to you than she did to Vriska.
But you really don't see the apex coming and when it hits, it hits like a meteor come screaming out of skies that were stormy and gray, sure, but definitely didn't look like they were about to drop a giant hunk of molten rock on your head. Probably you've just been too caught up in stoking the fire to actually see how large it is.

Summary
The labels on the bottles didn't mean anything: names that the Dersites couldn't identify, varying numbers labeled 'proof,' proof of what, you wondered, and then moved on. Like so many things in your home they remained enigmatic, and you wondered if someday you'd find another disc in the lab explaining what they were, what they were used for, why there were so many of them.
