Summary
For a moment he doesn't know what to say. He shudders again, strangely cold, and wonders if he should just give up now and save his dignity. But then something in Bojack's face softens and all the words come pouring out before he has a chance to second guess himself.
"I'm Drake, I'm- I'm from England, I was at a... a children's home. And it wasn't... good or nice or okay and so I left! I left and I went through this big forest and I ate berries that I'm pretty sure I shouldn't have and then I got to the coast and I snuck on a boat and they only found me when we were almost there so they let me go, kind of. I think they felt bad? And now I'm here. And I- I hadn't eaten anything in ages, not since the boat, so when I smelled food here I couldn't... stop myself from trying. I thought maybe I could just steal some cheese and maybe a burger and something to drink and then leave but... but I don't want to leave. I have nothing. The streets are awful, Mister Bojack, they're really-"
"Horseman."
"...What?"
"It's not Mister Bojack, that's my first name. It's Mister Horseman. Bojack Horseman."

Summary
Tears fill her eyes and then she goes rigid for a moment, like a runner right before the gunshot. He lets her be, again, because he knows there is no backdoor. He enjoys the way her legs flex and then she gives chase, straight through the kitchen.
Annika is good at gymnastics and a mean runner. Her toned body is like a lightning bolt, through the living room into the kitchen and down the thin snaking hallway. Unfortunately her panic makes her careless, and he hears a thump seconds before he enters the hallway himself and sees her on the floor just outside of her room. She'd slipped on the shiny hardwood.

His instincts are screaming at him to get up and run but he knows there isn't anywhere to go and if he moves it's just gonna hurt way, way more. So he forces his entire body to go ramrod straight, small tremors running through him from the sheer amount of panicked energy being contained. "Do you want to hurt me?"
"Yes," Dan chokes out like a love confession. "Yes."
