A choked noise snapped Mike back to reality. "You— what?" Robin blinked at him, her mouth hanging slack. "I respect Joyce Byers. Very much."

Musichetta runs up to kiss his cheek and drag him in from the cold, and Joly is on her other side telling him about something hilarious he missed, and Grantaire hears neither of them because Enjolras is across the flat ladling punch into a plastic cup for Cosette and he is wearing the most ridiculously hideous Christmas sweater that Grantaire has ever seen.

Summary
Grantaire had never spoken about work in Enjolras’ hearing, and Enjolras had never really bothered to ask. The problem with this was the surprise he got about five minutes into his new job at American Bowl, the faux-American bowling alley on the edge of the tenth arrondissement.
Or, Enjolras is suddenly poor and needs a job, and Grantaire happens to work at the same place. They end up having actual conversations instead of just shouting at each other, and Enjolras realises that he actually kind of enjoys Grantaire's company. Cue meandering chatter and clumsy handling of feelings.

He watches as Enjolras turns the calendar over to December, trails his fingertips along the days and weeks and then halt. Grantaire frowns, counting ahead. He’s lost track of time, it seems pointless to keep track of the date, when all that matters is making it from one day to the next. It takes him a moment to catch up, to work out the date from the last time he saw Enjolras mark it, and then he realises.
