    I wasn't a fan with Jedi Battle scars and a lot of the direction they took, but I did enjoy the overall story. I decided to rewrite it. The story has the same basic premise but with less Merrin and Fret stuff and a lot more under tones with Cal and Merrin. Hope you enjoy my version. Also I have the crew make a few references to past works I've done as I try to tie them all together.

    It has been about a week since Cal had destroyed the holocron containing the names of force-sensitive children. So far he didn’t have any regrets about his decision. He occasionally had nightmares of his vision that he’d had in the Vault on Bogano. He’d wake up disoriented, his body drenched with sweat, and the wound from Darth Vader throbbing angrily. Though the bacta patches had done a decent job healing the damage, there was still a long road to recovery both physically and emotionally.

    Kidnapping, experimentation, betrayal, and hurt/comfort. ;)

    Cal Kestis hasn't felt so alone since Bracca. His crew has been split up for months, off in every corner of the galaxy doing the Force knows what while he tries and fails to keep from thinking of them. He can't help but hope he'll get to see them again soon, but the reunion couldn't be more bittersweet as he wakes up on Ordo Eris, forced into the Haxion Brood arena yet again--but this time, his opponents are the family he has come to love and miss so much recently. And everyone still has a lot of complicated feelings about the whole "splitting up" thing.

    Sorc Tormo hires Boba Fett and Caij Vanda to track down the Mantis crew. He forces them to fight each other. Angst ensues.

    Being wanted by the Empire made it quite difficult for the Mantis crew to find places to get fuel and supplies, there were only a few places that could've been still be considered independent from the Empire but even in those cases it was better to be careful because nobody could be trusted.
