The insult comes out sneering, as they often do. Kojiro knows better—that the tone is all dressing, protection. This, the clothes, and the meticulous checking of every nook and cranny is anxiety, her neuroticism coming up through the floorboards while she’s trying to move into this new house that is her body.
His hand splays open palmed against her belly, the other following her arm until he can wind his fingers with hers, bringing her hand to his mouth to kiss. “I can multitask.”

“I need your help,” Tim says. “I need - “ again, the liquid sloshes in his cup. He releases it to rub his hands over the fabric of his pants. “I need your help.”
“Do you?” She is usually not the one approached for these sorts of things. Jason gets the calls, and Roy charms his way into information. She is merely a companion, one that most people stay away from. “What sort of help do you require, Tim Wayne?”
There’s a flinch, so minute anyone else would have missed it. He lets out a harsh breath and grabs for his drink once more. He yanks his mask down in one swift motion and brings the straw to his lips. He drinks like someone who hasn’t had water in days, with a single minded determination Kori has seen plenty of men use to go at bottles in dark lit bars.
His face is flushed. The red comes through in blotchy patches made worse by the stark white that splatters the lower left of his jaw. On his cheeks are two reddened slashes. They start at the corners of his lips and cut up towards his ears in diagonal lines.
“Sanctuary,” he says, when his cup is empty and his mask is up once more. “I seek sanctuary.”

It's not *Tim's* fault Batman slept with his mom sixteen years ago, or Tim's fault that Bruce Wayne regrets signing away his parental rights fifteen years ago, but Jack Drake sure thinks it is. Now Damian is bugging him about cows and family and Jason and Dick won't stop kidnapping him and Bruce is acting like court orders don't matter, like he doesn't have a huge bat-shaped secret to protect from literally the whole freaking world.
Why is Tim the only functioning adult in this situation?
This was supposed to be coated in angst, but it fell in the fluff bucket instead. (So, update, some people are saying this may not be as fluffy as I am advertising it. I plead the 5th.)

“I shouldn’t have let you leave,” Bruce mutters thickly, half in arousal and half in genuine upset. Where Tim has learned to be bothered by his parents’ presence, Bruce continues to be bothered by their absence, something he holds against them every time they return.
With no small amount of adoration, Tim caresses the arm that continues to tease between his open legs. “I only have to be there to greet them, and then they’re off to Chile.”
Bruce steps closer, pressing against the front of Tim’s body to run his unoccupied hand over the back of Tim’s head. “You deserve more than an empty home, birdy.” The hand underneath Tim’s skirt takes the knob of the plug that sticks out from between his lips and starts fucking Tim with it.

Jason sizes Drake up. He’s short. Shorter than Jason would expect for a highly rated security professional. He’s thin and lithe, and honestly Jason’s not sure he trusts a bodyguard who doesn’t have any visible scars. Drake’s features are soft, slight. Hair swooping, artfully tousled, to frame his face. He’s cute, attractive. He also doesn’t look like he can bench more than a hundred pounds. If Jason did have a stalker, which he doesn’t, he doubts Timothy Drake could do anything about it.
