Summary
If there was one thing Ilya was proud of during his time as Captain in Boston, it was the community he created. Yes, they were a good team, but under Ilya’s leadership they’d become a decent one too.
He didn’t have time for locker room bullshit. Racism. Homophobia. Hazing. It was immature and unnecessary. The first step in having a successful team, in his eyes, was the safety of “his” players. During his first speech as captain, he made it clear that the nonsense would not be tolerated.
The guys weren’t perfect, but they didn’t ask questions.
Until, of course, Jeremy Stone joined the roster.
Or: Ilya is one homophobic "that's so gay" away from losing his shit (and coming out in the process)

Summary
It was mid-May, the Centaurs had just won the second round of playoffs, and they were gearing up for the Conference Final.
The day after they beat Tampa Bay in a solid 4-0 series, Pride Tape had sent Harris all of the media for the Campaign. The plan was that immediately following practice, they were going to sit the team in front of the screen normally meant for play reviews and show them all of the footage Pride Tape captured of Ilya, Shane, Troy, and eventually, Luca.
And Luca would tell his team, "Hey, guys. By the way, I’m queer too!"
They would cheer, and everyone would have their happily ever after.
A straightforward, foolproof plan.
Or: Luca and Jamie come out to the team!

"It's on a dry erase board!" Chim protests. So far, all he's written on the board is Ways to Deal with Capt Gerrasshole, and then 1. Murder? below it. "And I put a question mark. So even if I didn't erase it, the jury would never convict. A question mark introduces reasonable doubt."
Maddie rolls her eyes with a fond smile. "I assume there would be other evidence."
"I would never be so sloppy."
"Again, this would be more convincing if you hadn't immediately written murder right at the top of your list."

Summary
Bobby laughed when he reaches the top of the fire-station stairs to find Eddie and Chris in an unfortunate predicament.
“It was the thought that counted, right, Chris?”
Chris turned to look at Bobby, sending him a wide, beaming grin and laughing along. There were a few drops of spaghetti sauce that had exploded across Chris' cheeks and glasses. Eddie stood frozen in the center of the epicenter of the incident, a guilty grimace pasted on his face.
“You should stick to sandwiches and takeout, Dad.” Chris agreed.
“Maybe I should be giving you cooking lessons. I think you might have a better chance than your dad.” Bobby said, ruffling Chris’s hair with a soft, good-natured smile.
"You can't teach an old dog new tricks," Chris dispensed sagely, causing both Bobby and Eddie to gape at the little boy.
"Are you calling me old?"
___OR Three years after moving to LA Buck decides to surprise Chris and Eddie at the end of his final tour. On the way to the station, Buck sees a car wreck and he wouldn't be Buck if he didn't stop to help.
The 118 have a lot of thoughts about the mysterious Eddie Diaz and Buck just can't wait to get home to his boys.
