Lanfear back up, placing a hand on Moiraine’s shoulder. “In how many futures did I kill you?”
Moiraine looks away. “Many.”
Lanfear uses a finger to pull the Aes Sedai’s chin to look her way. It’s a tender gesture that reminds Moiraine of the futures where they were intimate, disregarding what happened afterwards.
“That’s not an answer.”
Moiraine’s eyes narrow. “Fine, more so than the others.”
The Forsaken smiles at this, not a sweet or joyous smile, but a victorious and true smile.

It's been a year since 3x08, and Lanfear finally confronts Moiraine. Scars are displayed, emotions are laid bare, and realisations are made. This rewrite of s3e1 shows that Lanfear’s appearance on the balcony speaking with Moiraine is merely one chapter in a more complex relationship and far from their first encounter in Tar Valon.
