Summary
Peter sighed as he looked out the window of the car.
He was back in New York for the first time in a few years. After college, he had immediately packed up and headed to Los Angeles, where he had been working at Stark Industries. It had been a great job opportunity, even though it had meant leaving behind his past life. He had left behind his parents and his aunt and uncle, his little sister, one of his best friends (as MJ had also come to LA with him, offered a job by Pepper), the other Avengers, and his now-ex boyfriend.
It had been really hard, but after years of hard-work, Peter had been given the chance of a lifetime. He thought he could manage it, especially since MJ was going to be with him.
That had been four years ago.

Peter Stark is back in New York, back where his ex, the one who got away, is. After a celebration/retirement party for his parents, that's also a welcoming party for Peter and the new SI team, he runs into Harley for the first time in years. All the what-ifs all of a sudden seem within reach once more.

Summary
Peter Parker was back from the dead. At least that is what everybody told him. He'd been snapped out of existence until some sort of time travel and an active death wish by his mentor had saved him and the universe. Just your average sort of life for a 16 year old from Queens.
Peter comes back to find May has a husband and a kid. A new family he has to fit into. But he has done it before, he can do it again.
The only thing that feels solid is Tony: the Blip and fatherhood have mellowed him and Peter loves the bond they have now. He knows Tony would be there for him through anything. But Tony needs to focus on his own recovery - not small time Peter Parker problems. When things at home take a turn for the worse, Peter decides that he'll handle it himself. He is Spider-man. He's been to space and fought aliens. He can get through anything. After all, if May is happy, he is happy, right? Right?
