Summary
“...and this was from Sydney. Oh, and this one was when we were in the Gold Coast.”
Chaeryeong lets her eyes skim through the album full of the same deep warm blue colours, coastlines drawn like chalk against a backboard, smooth and jagged and in-between. Evidence of Haewon’s globetrotting during her world tour, vlogs and wide-shot selfies and whatnot. “So,” Chaeryeong observes, “you like Australia.”
Haewon furrows her eyebrows at the supposition, finally looking up from her phone. Chaeryeong lets her eyes linger over the ‘No Service’ tag before the girl clicks it shut. “I think this means I like the ocean,” she corrects.
Chaeryeong runs into Haewon in a rural town in Japan while travelling on her own.

Summary
“So, like,” Lily finally thinks to ask, “where exactly are we going?”
“I don’t know,” says Haewon. “I just wanted to go.”
“Go where?”
“Away.”
It takes five years, but Haewon returns to Lily.

Summary
Lily isn't a hag; she's twenty-three. And like, it's not as if their age-gap is that big of a deal to begin with. If Kyujin's being honest: she's kind of into it, as weird a realization as that is. The concept of it? Who cares about the potential maturity gap between nineteen and twenty-three. She doesn't know, and she probably could not bring herself to care.
In a way, she doesn't want to turn twenty—it's more fun when the gap's wider.
Kyujin might have a thing for Haewon's flatmate.

Summary
Kyujin's eyes focus on Haewon's hands. Something is dangling loosely between the index and middle finger, something thin and white and suspiciously cylindrical.
"Unnie," Kyujin says, voice low. When Haewon finally glances at her, eyes hooded and corners of her mouth pulling down, Kyujin jerks her head once. The question's all but voiced: What is that?
Or: Kyujin encounters Haewon late one night. She suspects Haewon is smoking.

Bookmarker's Notes
It feels something like spite, and she doesn't want to be spiteful, because she's not supposed to whine — she doesn't whine. But she is tired, and she should have been in bed by now but she isn't because Haewon's silhouette had stood out so starkly against the purple sky, and everything looks wrong in the mirror image of the glass. And it's not fair, and Kyujin has always set the standards for herself so high they're practically unachievable, but Kyujin is tired of living with the things she can just barely grasp right within her reach.
