It's comfort and familiarity and makes Simon feel special and reminds him that he's the only one who gets to have this. The only one who gets Wille when he's gross and greasy and filthy and raw, pure, unpolished body, above anything else. He gets to know Wille before he goes through the motions of making himself presentable, sterile, of turning himself into the good little prince he still has to play sometimes. Simon gets the man underneath it all, real and unapologetic.
