    Summary

Aerion's silver hair fluttered in the midnight wind, violet eyes shining bright even in the darkness. His very stance was imposing, something fierce, old, and looming on top was something far more fierce, and far more old.
A giant head hovered on top of the prince. It scales seemed a deeper red in the night. It twisted it's large head, yellow glowing eyes shining bright even in the dark, just like it's rider. Both as terrifying as they are beautiful.
    Or
What if dragons never died during the Dance of the dragons? How different would Aerion have been if he had the one thing he actually wanted?

    Summary

From his booted feet to his head, Aerion followed every visible inch of Dunk’s form with a silent, feline-like curiosity, as if seeing him as a mouse and sizing him up for a meal. It felt like an age before his eyes fell upon Dunk’s face, searching his dirtied cheeks and the blue of his eyes as if watching the clouds and consulting the weather, or checking the sky for signs of some foul sort of omen. When their eyes met at last, Aerion’s cockiness fell from his features swiftly as if Dunk had backhanded it from his face. His swagger faltered, and then his hackles were up, his lips pulling into a snarl.

“I shall withdraw my accusation if the oaf swears an oath of fealty to me and becomes my sworn sword.”

"You thought the open road would give you the freedom you sought," Aerion then murmured. "You forget that a man who enforces the laws of the crown is nothing more than a dog—and dogs are really rather simple to chain." He leaned forward, lifting onto his toes as if trying to stand at equal height to Dunk, though he could not manage. "Would you like me to show you how easily I can chain a dog, Ser Duncan?" he whispered, and the question ignited a fire in Dunk that coursed through his veins like wildwife.

Tasked with finding a poisoner who's been felling entire keeps in the muddy town of Mistwood, Dunk and Egg discover a certain foul-faced prince who's escaped from exile in Lys, and who else is stubborn enough to bring the prince to heel and return him home to Summerhall?

“If I break my oath, even for you—” Dunk’s voice cracked. He thought of Ser Arlan’s face. Of Egg’s trust. Of everything he’d built himself to be. “What would that make me?”

“Mine.” Aerion’s fingers slid to the nape of Dunk’s neck, tangling in his hair. “It would make you mine.”

There are two kinds of distance between a common hedge knight and a Targaryen prince: the height that separates them, and the morality that should.

    Summary

"Dunk knew what he was doing. Or maybe he didn't. But something deep down kept telling him this was madness."

Or when Dunk is just a regular guy: a sweet-hearted giant, a student, and a mechanic at his uncle Arlan’s garage. After a toxic breakup left his confidence in ruins, his friends finally drag him out to a bar to remind him he’s still alive. He doesn't expect to be noticed—especially not by someone like him.

Aerion is everything Dunk isn't: whitish hair, cold, and dripping with old-money elegance. He’s used to getting whatever—and whoever—he wants with a single look. To Aerion, the tall, clumsy guy in frayed jeans at the end of the bar looks like a fun distraction for the night.
But as Dunk navigates the gap between his world of grease and rugby and Aerion’s world of luxury hotels and designer shoes, they both might find that this "easy target" is anything but.
