Summary
Len hears the hum of the Cold Gun. That high pitched whir that used to make his heart beat faster, used to inject in his veins and give him power unlike any other high he’d ever experienced. He looks over his shoulder to see Barry cradling it, watching the glow of the core as he barely pulls the trigger.
"Want me to shoot you again for old time's sake?" Len asks.
Barry just laughs.

Len's selling all of his things, leaving Central City for good. And the only reason Barry knows is because Len broke into his apartment that morning to leave a note and his Cold Gun behind.

Summary
Three shots ring out.
Steve hears them before he feels them; a warm, wet pain burning in his torso, intolerably excruciating.
There’s a bundle of squawks and screams, outbursts of panic and anger, and it’s only when Hopper falls forwards to take Steve up into a slightly rough, protective hold, does he realize that two of those shots have lodged themselves in his own flesh and bone. (Realizes that he’d moved, instinctively, to shield El, despite never having spoken to her, who’d the gun had been so precisely pointed at, aimed for.)
Steve Harrington watches his own blood pool and trickle over a series of hands pressed against him, small and large, soft and rugged, and for a moment, wants to stay like this. He can’t.

Summary
After Barry comes to Trickster's defence when Batman gets rough in an interrogation, the League has a lot of questions. The more Barry explains, the more becomes clear about his unusual relationship with his Rogues, and Leonard Snart in particular.
(Set in some weird amalgamation of DC canon that shouldn't matter, except that Len isn't dead and Barry isn't with Iris and it's set a few years in the future.)

Summary
Steve and Eddie are close. The whole party knows that; it’s not a secret. But they’re close in the way they’re all close, right? The bonds of trauma, or something like that. They’re close like Steve and Robin are close, like Jonathan and Argyle are close, like Will and El are close.
Right?
Slowly, Will turns back around and peeks around the corner again.
Snippets of their conversation float over to him. Steve is adding chocolate chips to the batter and Eddie is leaning up against the counter next to him, one arm looped loosely around Steve’s waist, the other reaching into the bowl to steal chocolate chips and nibble on them.
Eddie rests his chin on Steve’s shoulder and hums. “Is this what it’s gonna be like when we have those six little Harringtons? You makin’ breakfast every morning?”
Or: Will wakes up early after a sleepover at the Harrington house. He sees something in the kitchen he wasn't meant to see, which prompts the realization that he might not be as alone as he thought.

Summary
Soul flowers aren’t a ticket to true love, he knows that well enough, but they do mean importance, significance, permanence. And so far no one has ever loved Steve significantly or permanently enough to leave some. Maybe that means he’s broken. Maybe that’s why he can’t leave any for her.
So Steve lets Jonathan take Nancy home that night, and tries not to feel too bitter about the matching bracelet of roses on Jonathan’s hand.

Eddie hasn't spoken to Gareth and the others since whatever went down with Chrissy Cunningham, now Gareth sees him playing basketball with Steve Harrington and a bunch of kids, what the fuck is going on?
Sinclair sighs longingly.
“Okay, man, I can get behind you on the sweet and salty,” says Gareth, “but New Coke?”
“He was crazy for it,” says Harrington, grinning all fond at the back of Sinclair’s head like he’s retelling the story of his toddler’s foray into the world of art and talking Gareth through all the monstrosities in pride of place on the fridge. “Weird kid.”
Eddie is smiling at the side of Harrington’s face and Jesus Christ, Gareth never wants to meet another gay man in his whole life if their taste is Steve fucking Harrington.

After the Singularity, no amount of rebuilding the city or stopping criminals can fix what's broken inside of Barry. When it's finally too much for him, a fight with Captain Cold is a welcome distraction, but that's nothing compared to how Barry feels letting the man force him to his knees and use him. Before either knows how it happened, they tumble into something brutal and broken, and neither is certain they know how to stop.

Summary
Snart needs someone to persuade him to settle down. To show him that he can fall apart here and it’s okay, that nothing will hurt him. Barry’s the only one who can, yet he doesn’t know how.
What can he say? On some days they’re enemies. On some days they’re lovers. They both decided that in the end their relationship meant nothing, so what persuasion can "nothing" have on someone?
___Barry breaks into Snart's apartment thinking turnabout is fair play, and awaits Snart's discovery of him on his couch.
When he wakes up, Snart's Cold Gun is pointed at his face. And yet, even with the glowing core and the frost on his nose, Barry can see that he's not the one in trouble.

Wayne lets the front door swing shut behind him, rattling and smacking into the frame audibly.
“Jesus, Munson!” A voice rings out — the freezer fiend’s, and definitely not Eddie’s. “Took you god damn long enough!” The head finally pops out of the freezer. “I got tired of waiting and — oh.”
The stranger’s hand slips from the handle and the freezer door thumps shut. As does the stranger’s mouth when he looks right into the face of, not Eddie Munson as expected, but Wayne Munson.
Wayne briefly recognizes him as the Harrington boy.

Summary
Eddie and Steve have been spending a lot of time together since Vecna. They're co-parenting kids, getting high every night, and sleeping in the same bed. They basically share a wardrobe too.
He thinks this is dangerous, its like they’re married, the casual sharing of intimacy, this space between them which feels like something and nothing all at the same time. He thinks it’s dangerous for him to pretend Steve sees it the same way, that one day Steve’s droopy, kind eyes are going to see right through him and he’ll lose this. This being a side of Steve’s bed that is his, a nightstand where his rings always pile, a drawer of shirts in Steve’s bedroom that only Eddie uses. He can’t lose it, so he shuts his mouth, turns out the light, and watches the slow breathing of sleep fill Steve’s chest.
