    Ever since the boys had left the TARDIS, Ryan’s last words to Yaz had been a constant reminder in the back of her head.

    “Make sure she don’t get into any trouble.”

    Even then, she hadn’t been able to promise - she’d known it would be difficult, and she’d said as much. But in the months since they’d seen Ryan and Graham, the Doctor had been taking her into increasingly dangerous situations.

    Which was how they’d ended up here, in front of a tribunal on an alien planet, being injected with a goddamn truth serum.

    The thought pops into her head but Jane dismisses it immediately. She knows Maura ticks all those boxes. Maura ticks a lot more, too.
