    Kattigan does not verbally respond, but looks up from where he is tightening Wulfric’s vestments to acknowledge he heard his friend.

    “You generously offered your services in the search for my brother, but what is keeping you now? I know this political intrigue is not really your calling.”

    “Not yours, either,” he gruffs from his position next to his wolf.

    Teor sighs, “I have my own reasons for wanting to save Wic-”

    “What then? And don’t say a life debt because we both know that’s bullshit,” Kattigan snaps, "a lot of people here might be in the dark but everyone who was in Timmony knows you’ve repaid Wic about ten times over.”
