Sirius is acting odd. Odder than usual, even, Remus thinks, the knot in his chest tightening. They hadn't slept together in very long. They'd fucked, of course, they always did, but then Sirius wouldn't hold Remus and Remus would be gone before Sirius woke up.
Sirius was slower, last night. When they were done, he had rolled Remus closer to him, one hand carding through his hair. "I'm sorry," Sirius had whispered, grey eyes bright even in the dark. "I'm sorry, Remus."
