Harry tilted his head, a teasing smirk of his own tugging at his mouth despite the rapid beat of his heart. “What can I say, I like experienced men.”
Louis chuckled low in his throat, a sound that sent heat rushing through Harry’s veins. “Cheeky little thing, aren’t you?” he murmured, his hand sliding up Harry’s back to tangle in his curls. He tugged lightly, just enough to tip Harry’s head back and expose more of his neck.
“You’re the one winding me up.”

PART II – when the time is right
“Harry, how do you love someone?”
“I suppose love comes from a plethora of things, some people simply describe it as a feeling or an emotion while others experience love in every little thing their partner does. For me, just being with the other person and feeling comfortable around them can be enough to call it love. Trusting someone, for me, is a form of love, but if you’re talking about that unconditional longing, the intense emotion that could potentially overtake every single one of your senses… I cannot teach you that, but I promise you, you’ll know it when that happens.”
And he had. Harry knew when he fell in love with Louis Tomlinson, the singer who had to go back to his life in England after three beautiful months together. Since then, Harry hadn't been the same. He needed finality, he needed to move on, to let go of the man who had made Harry second-guess every choice he had ever made in his life.
There was only one solution to his problems, he had to say goodbye to Louis. He had to find closure, and that's why he found himself back in England...

“Do you live in the cabin by yourself?” Louis then decided to ask.
“I do, well sort of, I have a cat.”
“A cat?” Louis then asked and Harry nodded happily.
“She’s a precious thing, but she always leaves me for this one customer who is staying at one of the cabins. His name is Tomlin-something, I can’t really recall,” Harry said, causing Louis to chuckle this time. The singer shook his head at Harry’s comment and smiled brightly at him. Harry was truly something else and Louis’ heart fluttered.
“He sounds like an absolute arse if he steals your cat,” Louis chuckled and Harry shook his head at that.
“On the contrary, he is extremely thoughtful, didn’t even mind it too much when I spilled my hot tea over him, how is your stomach by the way?” Harry then asked.
“If this is your way of trying to get me to undress again,” Louis joked and Harry’s cheeks grew bright red. The younger man started stammering some incoherent things and quickly averted his gaze, which Louis thought was absolutely adorable.

“But I searched for all your weak spots,” Louis said as he watched Harry’s pupils go wide. “Did you search mine?”
Harry didn’t fight back as the grip on his wrists began to tighten. Instead, he smiled and gave him an unbothered look. He then slowly broke the hold with a twist of his wrists, just enough for Louis’ fingers to slip free. He dragged his muddy fingertips along the edge of Louis’ jaw, tracing it with precision, then down the lengths of his throat until his open palm came to rest at the center of Louis’ chest-- his heart.
“I did,” he whispered, pressing his palm in harder. “It’s right here.”

Louis shook his head, grinning. “Great. Now I’m stuck flirting with a ghost in a red speedo.”
“Technically,” Harry said, eyes sparkling, “they’re shorts. Barely.”
Louis licked his lips, leaned back with a smirk. “Barely is generous. I’ve seen napkins cover more.”
“You’re staring an awful lot for someone who’s supposedly offended.”
“Oh, I never said I was offended,” Louis shot back. “Just observing. Purely scientific.”
“Well,” Harry said, nudging Louis’s knee with his, casual but not accidental, “keep observing. I like the way you look at me.”
