Summary
“I thought you liked my armor,” Sylvain jokes, eyes fixated on the way Felix’s cheeks are dusted the faintest shade of pink.
“You look half decent in it,” Felix says with a wry smile. “More importantly, it keeps you alive.”
Felix deftly unties the final string keeping Sylvain’s breastplate in place, and Sylvain feels it loosen as Felix hooks his fingers around the protective gear and sets it down by the side of the bed with a muted thump.
“But,” Felix says, turning back to carefully unfasten Sylvain’s doublet and remove his undershirt, “it certainly gets in the way of this.”
Sylvain’s eyes widen as Felix surges forward, straddling Sylvain’s thighs and pushing him back onto the bed in one fluid movement.
Or: Sylvain and Felix finally get some much-needed alone time.

Summary
Some Faerghan folktales say the northern lights are glimpses of Sothis’ robes trailing behind her as she waltzes through the heavens. Others say they’re vestiges of an ancient magick flitting through the atmosphere, its workings long lost to modern scholars. Sylvain doesn’t know what the northern lights are or where they come from. But he does know they’re beautiful.
He steals a glance at Felix. His eyes are wide, twin mirrors reflecting the stars and streaks of color. There are very few things in the world captivating enough to tear Sylvain away from the dazzling display above them, and yet he finds himself just as enraptured by Felix’s face as he beholds the sky’s glory.
Or: Amidst the ever-present uncertainty of war, Sylvain and Felix find a moment of peace in watching the northern lights together.

Summary
Felix sighs. He's just about to exit out of Craiglist entirely when a certain post catches his eye. He taps on the link, and an unadorned paragraph of text appears before him:
Alone on Thanksgiving? Mad at your dad?
I am a 26 year old, disinherited college dropout with no family to celebrate with. I can play anywhere between the ages of 24 and 29 depending on if I shave. If you’d like to have me as your strictly platonic date for Thanksgiving but have me pretend to be in a very long or serious relationship with you in order to torment your family, I’m game. I require no pay but the free meal I will receive as a guest!
- SJGIntrigued, he shoots off a message to the original poster:
still looking for a Thanksgiving meal?
He receives a text back in record time, the notification bubble lighting up his screen:
you bet i am ;)
Felix smiles. Bingo.
Or: Felix hires Sylvain to be his fake boyfriend in order to antagonize his father on Thanksgiving. Things get a little out of hand from there.

Summary
Whenever he gets a chance, Sylvain goes to Felix's bar to talk. And talk. And talk. Depending on the day and the number of drinks he's put away, he talks about the weather, about the latest issues with his job, about how he's terrified he's getting left behind as all his friends go on to do great things while he sits in his office and feels sorry for himself. On some level Sylvain realizes he should probably be venting to his therapist and not some random crush who now knows far more about his life than appropriate. But Felix is a good listener (probably a prerequisite for being a bartender to a clientele full of sorry saps like me, Sylvain thinks), and once Sylvain opens his mouth he finds it hard to stop.
At first, Felix just listens. But as they spend more time together, Felix starts talking back. He drops little tidbits about his past—an aside here, a joke there—that make Sylvain feel like he’s collecting pieces of a puzzle, following a trail of breadcrumbs to lead him to Felix’s heart.
And slowly but surely, Sylvain falls towards love and into love, one tumble at a time.
