Summary
Louis Tomlinson is a troubled boy who was raised by his single mother in a small working-class town in the North of England. When he plays the lead role in his school musical, he is scouted and gets the opportunity to audition for the high-ranking Royal Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. Louis never expected to find himself travelling to London alone at the age of 18. On the day of his audition, Louis - quite literally - runs into Harry Styles in the toilets. Harry Styles seems to be anything but a normal boy, the polar opposite of Louis, popular with everyone, talented at everything. Harry seems to fit where Louis doesn't. In a high-pressure environment, it's only a matter of time until masks fall, though.

“How do you take it?” Harry asked, pouring tea into a cup.
“Just a dash of milk, please,” Louis cast a look over the small table, filled to capacity. “They’re very fond of you.”
Harry ducked his head, grinning. “They’re trying to impress you.”
Louis smiled, shaking his head. “Why would they want to do that?” he asked as he took the cup Harry passed to him, their fingers brushing for an instant.
“Empathy,” Harry said under his breath.

Summary
In the countless years Louis has now been “alive”, Louis has come to realize there is no point. Just, in general. It was once a freeing thought and he is willing to admit the nihilistic view of existence brought on quite a wild phase in the first few years he discovered and adopted it. Lots of nights he wasn’t sure he could remember properly. Lots of nights he has absolutely no interest in remembering at all.

No perfect place would have the effect of making his thesis easier to write, of that Harry can be certain. Not for the first time, he wonders if he even belongs at the Academy. He’d gotten special permission to complete his programme mostly from home because of his particular circumstances. Still, the prestige and exclusivity associated with the Academy felt nothing like the way his magic actually... flowed.
OR
Louis is just trying to get through an infinite loop of endless workdays. Harry is just trying to get qualified as a witch. They both end up on a quest they didn't ask for, finding something they never expected somewhere along the way.
