Summary
Macaque is killed by a possessed Wukong during the battle against the Lady Bone Demon. He wakes up in a world and time not his own, with a Wukong who has never met a Macaque. Now stuck in this different universe, Macaque has to navigate his way through all the strange differences and a Wukong who is far too fascinated with not being the only one of his kind.
Or-
I chew up then spit out LMK Macaque into the actual JTTW world. Not back in time before Wukong killed him but in the actual novel (sorta). Won’t be entirely accurate to JTTW but I wanted a fic where the LMK characters interact with their JTTW counterparts for a long time now.

Summary
Things were weird. They didn't talk about it.
Macaque was coming by again. The first time had been at night, so soon after they'd both been freed that the ground around them was still littered with jagged ice stalagmites, now inert. They were already melting. They would be gone on their own eventually.
Wukong watched him pummel one into slush.
After a minute, he wordlessly stepped out and helped crush them to puddles with their bare hands. The extent of her influence left the two of them working for the better part of an hour before they could no longer see any on the horizon. Their work done, Macaque had slunk back into the shadows.But he came back. Again, at night. He kept to the trees, nosing into his scarf and whiling the night away reclined and stealing whatever fruit grew at hand. He didn't sleep. Wukong would have been a hypocrite to bring it up. He was gone again come morning, always seeming to slip away when Wukong had his eyes off him.
Night five of that, and Wukong left the shack door ajar.
Night seven, and Macaque came inside.

Summary
Macaque had come back to life irrevocably changed in many ways and his apparent impotency had probably been the least of his worries considering everything else that had happened. But it had certainly been a cause for some stress as they had tentatively taken steps to deepen the physical intimacy between them.
The only real request Macaque had made to him with regards to sex was that he not touch him below the belt, reluctantly admitting that the thought of him not reacting to it stressed him out.
You would think he might have had more hang ups about sex in general as a result of his impotency but it had really felt as if Wukong had actually been the one with the lion's share of issues they'd had to work through.
Boundaries can change over time and Wukong is discovering a lot more about himself, and Macaque, as a result.

Summary
Macaque comes back to life over a thousand years after his death and immediately decides he wants nothing to do with Sun Wukong ever again. Unfortunately, not seeking revenge on the Great Sage makes his second life only minutely less stressful. He's incredibly weak from his impromptu resurrection, the Lady Bone Demon wants to collect his debt to her, and on top of that, Sun Wukong seems intent on hunting him down.
With practically no magic left, unwilling to go back to the Diyu, and refusing to help in destoying the world, Macaque flees. Maybe if he continues to be slippery enough, Wukong, his new stupidly optimistic successor and his friends, and the Lady Bone Demon will leave him alone.
In hindsight, it's laughable to think he could escape them.

Summary
Wukong wakes up from a nightmare with an awful migraine. The pain, nausea, dizziness and re-surfaced memories are almost more than even the Great Sage can handle. Thankfully, his Plum finds him on time.
