It’s been drizzling all day, but as the afternoon slides into evening it starts to really come down, and the florist is glad to have moved the outside plants off their shelves and into the safety of the building. Everything and everyone is safe and is sound. The deluge has washed away the usual nightlife of the busy city, leaving only a few dampened passersby brave enough to pass the storefront. The loud, sharp and heavy weather outside is muted by the thick glass window— smoothed down into soothing brown noise.
