Pen is taking heat suppressants, but her body can't handle them forever, and she needs to find someone to mate with (who isn't Colin Bridgerton, because at this point, after so many years, it's impossible that they're fated).
Colin isn't ready to stop travelling, but his mother is running out of unmarried children. He comes up with a proposition: he and Pen pretend to date, starting with Benedict's wedding, so she can safely talk to alphas to find 'the one,' and he can have a few months of peace while he's stuck in London.
Everything will go as they expect...right?
