Summary
Hyunjin smiles. He is all soft cheeks and scrunched nose, beaming in the afternoon sun basking in the garage. Minho wants to reach out. Hold the other’s face and smile as brightly as him. Maybe even press their foreheads together.
“Look who brought ice cream!” Chan’s voice suddenly exclaims.
Minho’s attention is ripped away from Hyunjin. He wipes the drops of sweat tickling his neck and shakes away the silly image of his forehead pressed against his friend’s.
The heat is most likely starting to get to my head, he reasons.
or, in the haze of summer, Minho gets confused about his feelings for Hyunjin.

Summary
The thoughts are still there, somewhere. They'll still be waiting for him tomorrow morning, once Minho inevitably needs to leave.
But now they don't exist.
"I don't know what I'd do without you." Hyunjin says quietly, almost like a thought said out loud.
Minho lets out a soft huff.
"You'd figure something out." He says fondly.
"I'm not so sure of that." Hyunjin replies. "...and I'm glad I didn't have to.”
The younger doesn't see Minho's tender smile, but he does feel the light kiss that the older presses against the side of his head.
"I'm glad you called." Minho tells him.
His hand never leaves Hyunjin's hair.

Summary
At the Gathering of the Two Realms, the sun court and moon kingdom meet under one palace roof.
Hyunjin, the youngest angel of the moon realm, is supposed to stay quiet, polite, and far away from the devils of the sun.
Unfortunately for him, Prince Minho notices him immediately.
Minho only intended to introduce himself.
He didn’t expect the moon’s softest angel to end up in his lap, glowing silver under the sunlight, kissing him back like he belonged there.
And he definitely didn’t expect Hyunjin to try pinning him to the bed five minutes later.
Now Minho has a new problem.
He might not want to give the moon angel back.

“Poor thing,” he mumbles, and there’s something sinister in it, some deeper layer to the care he’s injected into his voice. Something sickly sweet to cover up the taste of pure poison. “You really can’t remember anything? Just your name?”
Hyunjin considers shaking his head and confirming, but there’s something so evil about Minho, like a dark cloud surrounding him. So, aware that Minho could maybe crush his skull and feigning bravery, he insists, “I know that you’re the one who hurt me.”
“An accident,” Minho insists immediately, slippery smooth. “I never meant to have my precious pet in the path of danger.” His lips press to Hyunjin’s forehead, and he hates that it still feels soothing, the inhuman iciness of them. “I apologize, of course.”
Or: Minho seizes an opportunity, Hyunjin goes along with it, and they both forget that they're supposed to be pretending.
